HOW TO BECOME AN UNDEFEATED, AND AN INDEFATIGABLE SUPERCHION-(2a)
Based on the things the first wrestler said, although his suggestions are not exhaustive, I could deduce some things, firstly he talks about body building and working out in the gym, that tells me something about training, whether, physical or mind training, thus education or schooling are very relevant to becoming a success. It is important to know that physical, mental and spiritual education is all possible, and the spiritual is the most important, even though all are important. The manual of life tells us that, “physical exercise profits little,(1 Timothy chapter 4, verse 8).For bodily exercise profits little: but godliness is profitable unto all things having promise of the life that now I, and of that which is to come.”This talks about the physical training. The manual equally talks about the mental training, “ And do not be conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God”, Romans 12: 2.Lastly, but by no means the least, it talks about the spiritual “So now, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified”, Acts 20:32 .This shows us that the word of God is a spiritual raw material for building up the human spirit. Another important scripture, talks about building up your spirit, and that is Jude, 20. “But ye, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.”There is a serious connection between courage and faith. A simple example of natural faith is the ability of someone and in fact any one to sit on a chair that is wooden, without entertaining fears that the chair will collapse, because sometimes that happens. However the God-kind of faith that calls those things that be not as though they were does not even have to see the chair to believe that it will hold some one up, it only has to see the word of God. This supernatural faith is compulsory for any one that wants to become an undefeated and an indefatigable champion. Thirdly, our first wrestler talks about appreciating and cherishing the ability to wrestle, as a gift from God- that is talking about gratitude, and thanksgiving. In the last part of this article, we will see how these same attitudes and habits created some of the greatest superchampions the world has ever seen in old covenant days.

HOW TO BECOME AN UNDEFEATED, AND AN INDEFATIGABLE SUPERCHAMPION
A Champion, is a word with many interesting definitions all of which I like. There is no body that is alive today, who will not like to become a champion, if not already one. I will like to remind us again of the definitions of the word champion. The Encarta dictionaries defines champion, as 1.supreme victor in a contest: somebody who competes in and wins in a contest, competition, or tournament, either alone or as a member of a team.2.winner of a show: something, e.g. an animal or plant that win first in a show.3.defender: a defender, supporter, or a promoter of somebody or something e.g. human rights.4. Remarkable person: a personal example of excellence or achievement.5.hero or warrior: a hero or warrior, especially a knight who fought in behalf of a monarch in former times.
In order to avoid confusion, and for the purpose of this discussion, we will be laying emphasis on the first and the fourth definitions that talk about winning in a contest, and becoming a personal example of success , excellence and achievement.
Recently, two very successful wrestlers visited a church in Nigeria, and the television reporters/crew of the T.V. station, a Christian television station asked them, “what are the secrets of your success?”, and one of them replied “I was into body building for many years”, in other words, he had been involved, in shaping up his body and building up his muscles in preparation for what was lying ahead. Then he continued, “I still work out in the gym, even though, I have not been actively involved in fights recently, but in those days, that was a very regular activity”, meaning that he was actively training his body to be able to stay fit, fresh and young all the time. As a medical practitioner, I can tell you that if you do not use your muscles, after sometime, they will shrink or atrophy. This is the reason; we must all exercise so as to keep our muscles working and remain healthy. This is equally important in preventing such diseases as hypertension and heart disease. Then he continued , “to be a successful wrestler, you have to have the heart to do it, and you have to pray about it so as to be sure that it is the will of God for your life.”, so now he talks about courage. It takes a lot of courage to endure a lot of pain, and since championship fights will always involve two or more experts who are very good at inflicting pain on their opponents so as to force them, into submission, you have to develop a very high level of tolerance for pain. You really have to be a courageous person. He did not stop there, “the ability to wrestle, is a gift from God, so you have to cherish it, and appreciate it, and know that the one who gave it to you, is watching over you”, that is another way of saying always be thankful to God for giving you such a gift, and trust Him to protect you and the gift that he has given you. Another wrestler, from Moscow who was undefeated for many years, after one of his wins, was asked by the commentator, “what sets you apart from other wrestlers?”, and he said, that he was trained by a popular training school in Russia, well known for its discipline and great combination of skills. These are the reasons for our products outshining others in the Olympics.

SEVEN SCRIPTURES THAT REVEAL THE GOOD INTENSIONS OF OUR GOOD FATHER-GOD 2
In Isaiah chapter1, and verse 19 we read, “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the Land”, God in His infinite goodness, has given us the good of the Land to eat, it only depends now on our own willingness and determination to eat it. There is a version of this same, I heard a preacher read one time, that says, “If you will only let me help you…”I found that interesting, and it actually goes a long way to prove, that it is not God’s unwillingness to help us that is the problem, it is our refusal to walk in line with what His manual, that He has prepared to guide us through a successful walk, that is the problem. He has done everything well, and made us in His image, so that we can follow him.
In Psalm 50, verses 14to 15, we read, “Offer unto God thanksgiving, and pay thy vows unto the most High: 15 And call upon me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver you”. God has not only done all things well, but He has made a provision, whereby, you and I can call Him in when things go wrong. He is omniscient and omnipotent, and He has all power so when our strength begins to fail us, He rises up in us to fight every enemy, that is incensed against us. No wonder He tells us in another, scripture, that when we pass through the fire, we shall not be burned, and that when we pass through the waters, they shall not swallow us up, and that He is with us always until the end of age. Finally, the last scripture that caught my attention, while writing this article, though not the least,( these are not all the scriptures that there are on this subject, please take note) , is Revelation 2:26, to which we may add, Revelation 3:21. These scriptures show us that God is waiting for us to win, so that He will celebrate with us. Sometimes, trouble makes people to wonder if God really cares. The truth is that God is waiting for you to win your fight of faith so that He will celebrate with you. Thus in Revelation chapter 2 verse 26, we read, “He that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations, even as I received from my father”. This clearly shows that He is not only waiting for our victorious report, but has already prepared reward and promotion, to celebrate your victory, and mine. Then again we read in Revelation chapter3 verse 21, “To him that overcometh will I

SEVEN SCRIPTURES THAT REVEAL THE GOOD INTENSIONS OF OURGOOD FATHER-GOD 1
It is easy to know the character of someone, from the words that he or she speaks. It is also is also easy to know the intensions of someone from what he or she says that he wants to do. Many times, people are convicted in court because of oral evidence which they gave, so long as it was documented on a tape, or because they wrote it down.
I believe that in the same way, the good heart, and the good intensions of our loving father –God, can be mirrored, through the following scriptures.
1 John 4:9-God loves you and wants you to live, “In this was manifested the love of God towards us, because He sent His only begotten son into the World, that we might live through him.”So you can clearly see that He loves us, and He wants us to live, and not to die, and the reason he sacrificed His son, is so that we might live, through him.
In 1 Peter 2:9, we read, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him, who has called you out of darkness, into His marvelous light:..”There again, we can see that He has chosen us and called us out to Himself, to be a special people, a peculiar people, what could be more than that, and this is not a mere assumption but a statement of fact, and I will never forget something I heard a preacher say onetime which I know is true, that God never gives birth to failures. There is really no one that has followed God according to the principles of faith laid out in His word that has ended up a failure.
In Romans chapter 8 and verse 31, we read, “What shall we say then to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” This is simply telling me that that God is for us, and not against us, He is not holding a cane and waiting for us to make a slip so that He will show us that we are stupid, He is on our side.
In Isaiah 1:18, we read, “Come now let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be made as white as snow; though they be red as crimson, they shall be as white as wool”, He does not want us to run from Him, when we err, He is not accusing us either, He wants us to come back to Him, so that the dirt will be washed away, and we can be clean again, what loving father, He is.

HOW TO OVERCOME A LOW SELF- ESTEEM/THE CURE
We cannot talk about the solution to a low self esteem without recognizing who and what man was made to be. In as much as it may sound religious to the uninitiated, man was made in the image of God, and was created to do things like him. There are two major things, that destroy a man’s self esteem, and they are 1. A lacking , of the knowledge of God, and an ignorance of the indefatigable, and indestructible life that he gives. 2. So many who have received the life of God do not know how to use it, and have never been taught who they are up to such a point that it swallows up their thinking.
The message of condemnation, that lays emphasis on our weaknesses, our failures, our foolishness, our inabilities, our not being qualified, must be replaced by the authentic message of the gospel of Jesus Christ which says that he came so that we may have life , and have it more abundantly. We need to hear that because of what he has done, we are the saved, the healed, the delivered, and the set free. We need to hear such scriptures as, “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might be rich”.2 Corinthians, chapter 8 verse 9. In other words, if you are in Christ Jesus, you don’t need to measure your wealth, or riches by what you have in your pocket, because, you are already rich, you have been given the “unsearchable riches of Christ” Epesians, 3:8. Jesus himself said “A man’s life does not consist of the abundance of what he possesses”. Luke chapter12, verse 15.This is very important, and it means, that you should never allow your self esteem, to be determined, by what you posses.
You have to believe in yourself. This is so very important, because you cannot get others to believe in you when you don’t believe in yourself. The psalmist understood the beauty of God’s creation, and especially of the one that was made in God’s image, so he wrote in Psalm 139, verse 14, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knows very well,” Accept the way God has made you. If you think that you are black and therefore disadvantaged, remember that many black people have succeeded in every sphere of life and that today a black man-Barack Obama is the President of the most powerful nation on earth: The United States of America. I like the title of Pastor Victoria Osteen’s book, - Love your life- and although I am yet to have access to the book or read it, I totally recommend it to anyone that is reading this article because I have listened to Pastor Joel Osteen many times and all those who are confused about their true identity and have not received the love that God has for them, should listen, so that their struggles with a low self esteem will be over. If you think that you are not as talented as someone else is, you need to look inwards so that you can locate the areas of your life where God has blessed you because the Bible tells us that God through His Holy Spirit gave gifts to all men. Even if you think that what you have is not good enough, the Bible tells us that we can covet or desire and ask for something better from God. There is always room for improvement. This is better than sitting down and having a pity party.
Learn to dream big: The bigger your self esteem, the bigger you can dream, and the converse is true-the bigger your dream, the bigger your self -esteem. Many times when people catch a big dream, their circle of friends change, their poor mode of dressing, the places they used to go to, and so many other things will automatically change so as to make them suitable for the new job, the new vision, the work of the ministry, the acquisition of another degree or the creation of the new company, or even the conquering of a bad habit.
Love: The great woman of God-Kathryn Khulman- described love as- the Greatest power in the World- and I think that she has a book that goes by the same title. There are two important sides as to how that love can contribute to restoring the self-esteem of someone who has a low self-esteem, 1.By receiving love. 2. by giving love. The society and the church must learn to show love to the downtrodden, the poor, the orphans, the helpless and the needy. Those who because of their lifestyles have come short of the standards of the church should also be shown the mercy and the love that God has given to all of us. It helps to heal them. Last year, a dear man of God in Nigeria, wanted to celebrate his birthday, so he gathered together many poor lame hurting widowed sick and suffering people, and gave value to their lives by giving those gifts including food, monetary gifts, and wheelchairs for the crippled like it had never been done before. I learnt so much from that. Those who have a low self esteem should try to reach out to others and show them love because people respond to love and you reap what you sow.
Ensure that you surround yourself, with people who appreciate you and who speak well of you, positively and who believe that you can achieve your purpose. Detractors and destiny destroyers need to be kept at arm’s length.
Finally, leave the bad past behind, where it belongs. If you suffered from physical, verbal or sexual abuse as a child, you need to relieve it or dig it up, discuss with the one responsible if need be (it is always not necessary) talk about it, forgive and stress to your self the fact that you are better and bigger that and forget it.Try to maintain that ability to bounce back after an obstacle or a fall.

YOU, YOUR SELF-ESTEEM AND SUCCESS-2
Image via Wikipedia
In this second part we will look at the manifestations/signs of a low self esteem, and how to solve the problem.
Talking about the manifestations of a low esteem, it can manifest in so many ways, through words and actions, in the making of choices in the person’s emotions etc, .Emotionally speaking, there are feelings of worthlessness, helplessness, guilt, self blame and so on and so forth. Such individuals interpret a minor failing on their part as a sign of incompetence, or interpret a minor criticism as condemnation.
Often times a very low self esteem is a symptom of depression or could be associated with it. Certain activities that may have taken place in the life of such individuals combine to produce feelings of emotional and or spiritual death, example: - sexual abuse and sexual pervasions, drug abuse and criminal activities, and so on. Where major depression is involved, there may be a desire or an urge to end one’s life, i.e. suicide.
There may also be feelings of ugliness, and the mirror reflects someone ugly and repulsive .Even a very decent person, may feel deficient, cruel, stupid, phony or guilty of having deceived others.
Apart from these emotional manifestations, there are negative words and confessions, this person uses such terms as: poor me, a bad person like me, what do I have that I should…, I am not as rich, I am not as beautiful as, I have no University or maybe college education or degree, I am not going to last because of my illness so there is no need to….
When it comes to making choices in life, this person makes poor choices or low choices or of low quality. These people cannot aim high because they don’t believe that they are qualified for the good things of life. Thus they choose the little things, the small jobs, working for others, the poor and low and the ugly as life partners or friends. We ought to have a large heart that accommodates and loves everyone and anyone, and accepts and cherishes other people, no matter their class, but people with a low self esteem, feel easily intimidated, the moment they come into contact with the so called-rich ;powerful; beautiful; educated ;white-skin or some other color, depending on what they think they don’t have

YOU, YOUR SELF-ESTEEM AND SUCCESS 1
Self-esteem, which is also known as self-worth, sense of worth, self-image, self-respect, self-regard, sense of worth, self-assurance, self-pride, e .t .c., is defined as confidence in your own merit as an individual person. Your self –esteem has so much to contribute towards your success in life, and the achievement of your God given assignments, as well as your personal goals. When your self esteem is normal or good, you are primed for success, it is only a matter of time, if you work hard, and have God on your side.
Your self esteem can be abnormal in two ways, as follows: (a) Very high or high- this person has an over -bloated ego. He thinks of himself or she thinks of herself more highly than she ought to think. Notice that this is contrary to the word of God as it is written in the book of Romans chapter 12 verse 3,” For I say through the grace that is given unto me, to every man that is among you, not think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.”It therefore becomes clear why we should not allow ourselves to be overtaken by pride because as it is often said, ‘pride goes before a fall.’ Every good student of the manual of life knows that this was what led to the devil’s (Satan’s) downfall, and Saul losing his throne, and has led to the downfall of so many. I am also aware, that an over bloated ego may not just be because somebody wants to be proud , but because of a mental illness known as bipolar disorder or manic-depressive psychosis. It could also follow a temporary elation due to influence of hard drugs such as marijuana, this however clears as the effect of the poisonous substance wears away.
On the other side is (b), a very low or a low self-esteem. This person feels low and in fact lower than he or she is in actual life. This is the main problem that we want to discuss in this article, as well as the solution, because this has dealt with so many Christians, and destroyed their purpose in life. It is a mighty weapon in the hands of our already defeated enemy, and he wields it at us all the time. We must learn to handle it right and get God’s people the healing and the restoration they need.
Firstly, let’s look at the causes of a low esteem-there are many possible causes of low self esteem, and I am going to state the few that come to my mind now. Although I am not as psychologist, or an anthropologist, life’s experiences, the Holy Spirit as well as study, have shown me many things about what I am talking about here. Some causes of low self esteem are not known, whereas many are known, and amongst the known causes are: marital conflicts for those that are married, financial difficulty, some personal failure. Also note that many people with these problems do not necessarily have a low self esteem, so it all depends. Biological and psychological vulnerabilities, contribute to depression and a low self esteem. Feelings of ugliness, ageing, open humiliation, job loss, deformities and congenital anomalies, certain illnesses, especially incurable or life threatening.
The aspect of these people that concerns me a lot is the part that has to do with the message of condemnation spoken constantly, by some ministers of the gospel to their members, which makes them feel worthless and unqualified for anything that is good. Together with these are the abusive words spoken by some people to their relatives, e.g. parents to their children calling them fools, idiots, animals, e. t. c., as a way of training or correcting them. Other relatives, such as aunts and uncles, cousins, at times are the worst culprits in this unwarranted destruction of the hidden power of men and women that God has designed to propel them to destiny.

YOUR TONGUE/YOUR LIFE: 3
There is nothing that is really new, under the sun. The wise man (King Solomon), who wrote the books of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, states in Ecclesiastes Chapter 1 and verse9 thus:
“The thing that has been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done, is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the Sun”. This tells me that there is a common pattern or way of doing things, both in the times past, and in the present, and in the future. Human behavior and predicaments will always be the same. This means that if we look carefully into the manual of life, we will see an example of anything that man did, is doing, and will do. I am saying this because the story, narrated in the part two of this message has one, exactly like it in the Bible. In the book of 1 Samuel, chapter 31, we read the story of the demise of King Saul of Israel believe that you know the story of Israel’s first King, who started well but later messed up and was rejected latter by God and as such, could not remain in office, because God rejected him. Therefore he lost his anointing and protection from God. His enemies defeated him, but before he died, when he discovered that he had been wounded, he did something tremendous. He called out to his armor bearer, and said in 1 Samuel chapter 31 verse 4…Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith: lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me.” But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore, Saul took a sword and fell upon it.
5. And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise upon his sword, and died with him.6 So Saul died, and his three sons, and his amour bearer, and all his men, that same day together.
Thus we can clearly see that Saul finally took his own life, by falling upon his sword. Yet this very thing will cost a foolish young Amalekite his own life because of his ignorance of how to use his tongue aright, and his desire to impress someone and gain undeserved favor.
Thus in the Second book of Samuel, we read his story in the first chapter. He comes to David and narrates how that he met Saul distraught and desiring to die. And how that Saul looked behind and saw him, and pleaded with him to kill him (Saul), and how that he killed Saul.
This was offensive to King David, and he took it personal. He knew that the Amalekite did not know about the anointing of the Holy Spirit. He knew that God had said, that he who blesses the anointed, shall be blessed, but he who curses the anointed, shall be cursed. He also that the Lord had said, “Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm; this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me says the Lord”.1 Chronicles,15:22, Psalm 105:15
King David therefore ordered that he be executed, thus in 2 Samuel , chapter1, verse 11 we read, “Then David took hold of his clothes and rent them; likewise all the men that were with him: 12 And they mourned, and wept, and fasted until evening, for Saul and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of the Lord, and for the house of Israel; because they were fallen by the sword.13 And David said unto the young man that told him, “Whence art thou?,(where are you from?), And he answered, I am the son of a stranger, an Amalekite.14 And David said unto him, “ How was thou not afraid, to stretch forth thy hand, to destroy the Lord’s anointed?15 And David called one of the young men , and said, Go near, and fall upon him. And he smote him, and he died.
16 And David said unto him, Thy blood, be upon thy head, ; for thy mouth hath testified against thee

YOUR TONGUE, YOUR LIFE-2
A certain group of unemployed people, gathered together for an interview, they had been invited to the interview (job interview) because they applied to the company following its advertisement in a Newspaper that it had vacancies. While they were waiting for the panel that was to conduct the interview to arrive, they got talking to each other. One of them asked a question, is this organization known to do things right? Do they employ people based on merit, or do they employ based on who you know; what about bribery? A lady also wanted to know if there are any stories about women getting what they wanted, by giving what they had as women.
That was when one of them got himself into trouble, he had heard that the Managing Director of the Company/Chief Executive Officer, liked women a lot, but wisdom demanded that since he never knew this man, and had never caught this man with a woman before, and he ought to have kept quiet, about it. He had all that was required to get that job. He was brilliant and hardworking and was going to score the highest in the aptitude test. Without thinking, and without first looking behind him, he said ‘The managing Director/CEO, is a womanizer, and will go after anything in skirt’, humorously.
Unfortunately for him, the person that was coming right behind him was the man he was talking about. A few years back, his colleagues in the place of work, had started that lie against him, and were using it to destroy, his image, hoping that they will be able to take him down, eventually, because he was too talented for them and too brilliant. The whole thing rocked his very existence, because he was a disciplined and honest man. He managed to get over the whole thing and still rose to become the M.D./CEO of the company. Immediately the man heard his about- to -be employee talking about him, and saying the same things that his enemies used to wound his soul, he concluded that his enemies were about to plant another agent of theirs in the organization. He was the most powerful man in that organization, and in that panel, and was not about to let that happen. He marked the face of the naïve and unfortunate job seeker. His naivety and folly had cost him a job that he was most qualified for. Our perfect master and Lord had said, “That men shall give account of every idle word that they speak.”Matt 12:36.

YOUR TOUNGUE/YOURLIFE:1
We all have heard so much said about the power of your tongue, and the inherent ability of the words you speak, the power of such words to determine your future, and guarantee your victory in life. That will be our subject for another day, but for today, our emphasis will be on the benefits of keeping quiet, about things and people that we do not understand. I have personally had some experiences that I regretted because of the wrong use of words and the wrong use of my tongue in relation to people and situations that I did not understand fully and spoke ignorantly about them, and entered into trouble with them.
In June 2008, I was in Lagos Nigeria to work on my new music CD, my album titled Greatest Love. While we were working in the studio, there was power outage, something that is very common in Nigeria, so we stopped working for a while, and somebody went to put on the studio generator. We stepped outside the studio and I was together with three other guys, then I remembered something I had seen on television, a few days earlier. A pregnant woman who had what the doctors’ call-cervical dystocia -, i.e. a plastic cervix that refuses to thin out and open out and allow the baby to pass through it; and the doctors had decided to operate on the woman because that is the solution, humanly speaking. She and her husband hadn’t the kind of money required for the surgery. As a result of this, she came to a church to meet a certain man of God. The man of God, during the service, pointed at this woman’s abdomen (belly), and within a two minute interval she delivered a bouncing baby boy who was healthy, alive and well, and herself was equally in sound health, after the delivery of the child. I decided to share that story with my friends and tell them to try and visit that minister’s church on a Sunday, and see things for themselves. I was however shocked by the response that I got from them. One of them, though a passerby, said, you don’t know that man, he is a criminal. He does not know God; we have heard a lot of things concerning him. That thing he is doing is nothing but magic and God has nothing to do with it.
I was shocked by what my friend said, he said all those things about a man that I witnessed a mighty work that only God could do, through a man, performed by him, a man he did not know and has never been with before, all that he could say was that he heard from people, who said that they heard, from people. The whole thing did not make any sense to me. He had never made any efforts to find out what the truth was, but he had already drawn his conclusion and was busy spreading the bad news.
One very important thing my friend did not know is the fact that the that there is a spiritual law that says that you are not to curse or speak evil about one that God has blessed, because that is certain to bring a curse back to you. A lot of people are are suffering today because of what I have just told you, and please do not become one of them. This one who speaks negatively, about the Lord’s anointed, may one day need help of the kind that will require the ministry of that prophet of God, and except God shows him mercy, he has already repelled the spirit of God that is at work in that man, and may die from his problem.
A word is enough for the wise, let us learn to only say those things that we know, and that we have proven to be true. The manual of life tells us that- Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it, will eat its fruit.

BELIEVING IN HOPE, AGAINST HOPE
This term or title really looks funny to me, but it very accurately describes, the condition of some people that will read this article. It is important to know however that these words are not just my words, neither are these terms my terms, I saw them first in the word of God.
One day recently, while watching a television program on a satellite T.V. channel known as DBN, transmitting from London, I heard a man , a preacher, tell a story that seems to me to be the most impossible situation that became possible in the World. This story that ought to be investigated, and documented in the Guinness book of records. He told the story of a woman, who was well into her late fifty’s who came with her husband to his ministry unable to conceive as it were, therefore childless. According to him, this woman, not only conceived, but delivered for children over a space of four years.
The shocking aspect of the story is that the woman delivered one or two of the children within a space of two months after the previous pregnancy and delivery, and as a doctor, I know that this is medically impossible, but we serve a God who does impossible things. A normal pregnancy lasts for between 7 and nine months, but to talk of 2 months? This ought to be investigated by the medical community and the media.
There is an older and related story in the Bible that talks about a man Abraham, whose wife had a child at the age of seventy-five years and he was ninety years old at that time. Thus we read from the Book of Romans in the Bible, chapter4, verses 17 and 18, “(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations.)Before him whom he believed, even God, who quickens the dead and calls those things that be not(do not exist), as though they were. Who against hope, believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.”

REFLECTIONS ON THE GOODNESS OF GOD/BIBLICAL PROOFS OF GOD’S GOODNESS3
In the book of James, chapter 1 verse 17, we read: “Every good and perfect gift, comes from above from the father of lights in whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. “Our Lord Jesus Christ said that God is light, and in Him there is no darkness. All these point to the fact that God’s good ness is real and so true that it cannot and should never be doubted by anyone .Many times when people face difficult times, they begin to wonder whether God is still there and whether he still cares, but the truth is that he does. I heard the story of a young man, who lost his mother, was mad with God because he said that he could not understand what God wanted him to now and why God would take his good mother away. What he was never taught is the fact that God is not the killer that the one who steals, and kills and destroys is the devil, and as a matter of fact death is caused by an evil spirit-the spirit of death! Rather than these we read in the book of Jeremiah chapter 29 and verse 11 we read,” For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, thoughts of peace (good) and not of evil, to bring you to an expected end. “Thus we can see that God thinks only Good thoughts towards us and not evil thoughts and wants good to happen to us, not evil.
Following his knowledge of these things, King David writes in the book of Psalms 100:5,106:1,107:1,118 verses 1 and 29,: O Give thanks unto the Lord , for He is good and his mercy endures forever.Again, in Psalm 107 verse 8, 15, 21, and 31 we read: “Oh that men would praise the Lord, for his goodness and for his wonderful works, to the children of men!”
Finally, “He has not dealt with us according to our sins; nor has he rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high over the earth, so great is his mercy towards them that fear him. And as the East is far from the West, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pities his children, so the Lord pities them that fear him. For he knows our frame, and he remembers that we are dust!”Psalm 103, verses10-14.What a good God He is! My prayer for you is that your whole mind, soul, spirit and body, be always conscious of who he is, of his goodness, and of his unfailing love, and the fact that he himself said, I will never leave you nor forsake you, and lo, I am with you until the end of the age. Amen.

NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER GIVE IN 'CAUSE, HOPE NEVER FAILS.

Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder and the President of Winners chapel worldwide, is an outstanding example of how God can raise the poor out of the dust, and lift a beggar out of the dunghill.Recently, his church celebrated its 28th anniversary, and the man who built the largest church auditorium in the world shared the story of how he suffered, and how he sruggled with poverty in his early days of ministry. What God does for one, he can do for another under the same circumstances.Do you believe it?

REFLECTIONS ON THE GOODNESS OF GOD/BIBLICAL PROOFS OF GOD’S GOODNESS 2: MORE BIBLICAL PROOFS.
The Bible tells us that God causes or allows His sun and His rain to shine upon both the good and the evil. You and I know too well that if we had an opportunity, to distribute something to people around us, and we heard about one of those people who happens to be a criminal, there is every tendency, that we may try to punish such a person by denying him that thing or out of resentment, avoid such a person, but God is not like that, as we can see from above.
King David, of ancient Israel, was one man who experienced the goodness of God. We are told, of how God took him from tendering sheep (sheepcote) and made him King over the entire Israel. He alludes to this in Psalm 113 verse7,’He raises the poor out of the dust, and the needy out of the dunghill’, just as it is written in 1Samuel chapter2 and verse 8, He raises up the poor out of the dust, and the beggar out of the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make the inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S and he has set the world upon them.’
However, even though God was good to King David, he messed up by killing an innocent man and taking over his wife. The law demanded that king David be condemned to death, i.e. capital punishment, but God showed him mercy, thus the Bible ,especially, the book of Psalms most of which King David wrote is full of: O Give thanks unto the Lord , for He is good and his mercy endures forever!

REFLECTIONS ON THE GOODNESS OF GOD/BIBLICAL PROOFS OF GOD’S GOODNESS 1
A lot of times, we hear preachers, talk about God’s goodness. They say ‘God is good’ and many don’t understand what they mean! They wonder, if these preachers or Christians, or people are trying to be nice to God, or are they saying the truth, and what do these mean?
Firstly, I will like us to look at the meaning of good and goodness. The word good, according to the Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary could have several correct meanings, all of which are appealing to any one that is reasonable. The various words that I am talking about include: of high quality or an acceptable standard; pleasant; sensible/strong; favorable; skillful; morally right; following rules; healthy; useful/helpful; suitable; showing approval; large; at least i.e. rather more than; thorough; likely to provide, etc. However, it is important to note and to know, that none of these words can accurately describe the goodness of God. They may come close to doing it, but they don’t do it accurately. Why do I say that, ‘his ways, are not our ways, neither are his thoughts, our thoughts, for as the heavens are over the earth, so are his ways higher than our ways, and his thoughts, higher than our thoughts.’ It therefore becomes clear to us that we live in a World that does not know what real beauty is and therefore, cannot describe it accurately.
Recently, while watching a video CD of a conference, that held in the U.S.A.,I heard a popular Preacher talking about the legal system in the U.S.A. ,and he lamented first of all that no man had the right to hand out capital punishment to another human being. He then said that we know how to classify people, as good or bad, we categorize and lock them up in the computer of our hearts! Well, then he told the people the gospel truth, which is’ that there is evil, even in the best amongst us ‘.
He is very correct, because Jesus said exactly, the same thing. At one time, a man came to Jesus and asked him,’ Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?’17 And he said unto him, ‘why callest thou me good? There is none good, but one, that is God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.’
A popular Nigerian Pastor, while talking, about the goodness of God and of his unfailing love, said ‘,If you know about some of the things that I do, you may like me again, but God is not like that, His love is unconditional, and his mercy is unfathomable.’

Welcome to the House of hope
We live in a World that is full of ups and downs. There is so much noise and so much negative information, flowing out of our media houses that can terrify, even the stone hearted. The economic downturn being experienced by the most prosperous nations of the world, which has spread all over and will soon threaten the very existence of the so called -Third world nations, is no longer news. You and I already know some people who have lost their jobs.I personally lost huge sums of money just like many others , following the collapse of the Nigerian stock market.
Issues that have to do with health and the various challenges are not new to all of us.Many times, the doctors that we trust in their training and knowledge, fail woefully to deliver. We find out that they don't even know what our problem is, and even if they do, especially when certain types of cancer or viral ilnesseses, such as rabies or lassa fever ,and other dangerous haemohrragic fevers or certain congenital abnormalities are involved, it may require more than a doctor to save us.
Following these this things and many more, many live in fear, worry and anxiety, but there is even in the most hopeless of situations hope, because many can see the invisible, believe the impossible , and recieve the incredible. The house of hope is one stop place, where you will always be fired up to face any thing, successfully.
